One of such blogs is The Phoenix Real Estate Guy authored by Jay Thomson. From the time I have discovered Jay’s blog, he have made an outstanding progress and is currently maintaining 5th place on my list:

Sorry it took me so long to moderate this comment. For some reason you were caught by Akismet- I hate the plugin but I had no time to implement other way to protect my blog from spam.

I just installed it. But I don’t know why I bothered I don’t get many comments. So it’s not hard to keep up with the spam.

Looks like your comment got through this time. I absolutely hate Akismet as it constantly catches legitimate comments. I was just lazy to set something different. On some of my other blogs I use Spam Karma but I believe the developer is no longer offering support. I will just probably move the comments to Disqus and be done with it. They do good job as far as spam is concerned.
